Darion Banister Receives Degree From Tennessee State University

Darion Banister a resident of Champaign, IL was among more than 1,200 students from Tennessee State University who received undergraduate and graduate degrees during the University's Spring Commencement Exercise held Saturday, May 11, 2013.

Banister received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.

Candidates for degree included 841 students earning bachelor's degrees and 400 receiving graduate degrees. Also notable is a total of 224 students were eligible to graduate with honors including 31 earning summa cum laude (GPA of at least 3.75), 84 magna cum laude (GPA of at least 3.50) and 109 earning cum laude (GPA of at least 3.25). Additionally, 384 undergraduate and 405 graduate students graduated with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
